FAQ's for Couples Counselling

  1. Do both partners need an account?

We only require one partner to have an account. This partner is known as the 'principal client'. We collect only the principal client's name and information on our client intake form. All sessions are booked through the principal client's account.

  2. Will my partner receive any information?

All correspondence is sent to the principal client's email address on file.

  3. What if I already have an account?

If you are already signed up for individual counselling and want to meet with a couples counsellor as well, please sign up for a separate additional account using a different email address.

  4. What if I want to change to couples counselling?

If you are already signed up for individual counselling and want to meet with a couples counsellor instead (i.e. no longer need individual counselling), please contact our friendly Client Services team to assist.

  5. What if I want to change to individual counselling?

If you are already signed up for couples counselling and want individual counselling instead (i.e. no longer need couples counselling), please contact our friendly Client Services team to assist.

  6. What if my partner and I aren't in the same location?

While we are working on providing multi-screen sessions for our clients, we currently require couples to be in the same location, at the same device.

  7. Is it possible for one partner to use another platform for the session?

As part of our privacy policy, all sessions must take place using the Wellin5 platform. We do not use 3rd party video services

  8. Is the sign-up process the same for both individual and couples counselling?

The process is very similar except that 'couples counselling' is selected as your topic of concern.

  9. Can I choose my session length?

Only 60-minute appointments are available for couples counselling.
